You can have all of your dental needs taken care of under one roof, at our convenient location in Bondi Junction! Sydney Dental Studio operates out of the same office and offers general, cosmetic, restorative and children’s dentistry services. Here at Sydney Dental Specialists, our specialists prosthodontists take on the most complex and technically-challenging cases requiring restoration, but many patients aren’t in need of this intensive level of care. In such cases, our highly experienced general dentist, Dr Aidan Tinney, is completely capable of providing high quality treatment that creates fantastic patient results.
The Sydney Dental Studio Team will work closely with you to ensure you receive the highest quality of care. Visiting Sydney Dental Studio every six months for a dental check-up and hygiene care will help to maintain the health and appearance of your teeth.
A dental check-up is a simple appointment where the health of your teeth, gums and jaws are assessed, and your teeth are cleaned. Having these appointments regularly each year can help to prevent problems like cavities, infected root canals and impacted wisdom teeth.
A cavity starts off being fairly innocuous, and if discovered early, generally all you will need is a filling. However, if the cavity is left to grow and spread through the tooth it can lead to more severe problems such as infected root canals—which can cause severe pain, swelling and discomfort.
If you’ve invested money and time in achieving and healthy, beautiful smile, you don’t want all of that to go to waste by allowing your oral health to deteriorate. Even if you no longer have any of your natural teeth, you still need to take steps to maintain your oral health, including visiting a dentist for a regular check-up and clean every six months. It is important that the state of your oral health continue to be monitored in order to ensure the longevity of your amazing results. We recommend that our patients visit our sister practice for general dentistry, so that any dental issues that may develop can be dealt with quickly, taking advantage of our close working relationship with the general dentist, Dr Aidan Tinney.
Looking after teeth at home, as well as booking regular hygiene appointments, are a great way to maintain good oral health.
Things you can do at home:
Ideally, you should brush your teeth three times a day. However, for most people it’s only practical to brush their teeth after breakfast and before going to bed. We recommend chewing sugar-free gum after lunch as it promotes saliva production which is good for your teeth.
Flossing cleans the 30% of the tooth structure that your toothbrush cannot reach.
Aside from the obvious hydration benefits of water, drinking water after eating helps to rinse food particles from your teeth.
Regular hygiene visits should be an important part of your oral health routine—especially if you’ve had any restorative dental work done.
A visit to the dentist every four to six months can make a significant difference to your oral and general health.
